LUMES at Cabrini Hospital is a characterful wall that greets visitors with a moment of happiness in an unexpected context. In collaboration with architectural firm DesignInc, this is the first iteration of LUMES in wood veneer, a beautiful execution that exudes warmth and offers increased tactility.

Situated at the entrance of Cabrini Hospital’s Paediatrics ward; dreamy graphics delight children, patients and staff. Visitor movement and contact with the wall triggers animations of landscapes and animals to the delight of children. Owls on branches nestle together against twinkling night skies and toy planes and rockets materialise under fingertips.

LUMES is a light-emitting wall system that blends into surrounding architecture and reveals itself in articulate colour forms.

LUMES murals are designed to positively affect the mood and ambience of spaces. This is achieved through a carefully configured combination of lux levels, a slower speed of animation and refined colour quality as well as graphic and animation choices that are custom-created for the specific demographic of each unique space.
